My Vlogging YouTube Advice for Newsletter Creators on Substack
The main reason I haven't been writing much here.
Hey Guys,
So I’ve been trying to ‘build in public’ with regards to my Newsletter Creator journey. I’ve made a few videos that might interest you.
I’m obviously not an expert, but I am someone who is actually doing it full-time.
Creating these videos is my Vlogging in public that is more like a secret journaling project. I added a few clickbait titles for amusement (mostly because YouTube’s algorithm is lame):
How I become a Top #50 Paid Newsletter in Technology in 14 Months
As I hustle and grind and try to get out of poverty as a Creator on an internet where there’s hardly any “Creator Middle Class”, I wanted to also cover my own personal wins.
If maybe these insights can help some others along the way, that’s a value add. If you don’t like my voice and very low-end videography skills, I won’t fault you either.

Why I was Substack's Biggest Skeptic and Critic
It’s important for me personally to try to be transparent about my process and journey thus far.
How I grew my Newsletter revenue by $1,000 in a Single Day
It’s also one of those “if I can do it you can do it too” sort of things, in my opinion. I’m not exactly good at business, marketing or self-promotion. I usually fall flat.
What is Substack's Philosophy in a Nutshell?
But I also wanted to create some kind of existential Substack Testimonial, because I like many elements of what Substack is trying to do vs. algorithms and vs. Advertising.
These little videos are supposed to be secret, but maybe someone out there needs to hear them, as disjointed and raw as they are.

Anyways let me know if you found any of this useful or interesting.
We’re all just figuring it out as we go along really. And there’s nothing wrong with that. This Newsletter may be on hiatus as I deal with you know, my other 15 Newsletters.
Thanks!
