Just a quick note on Substack growth, I’m seeing Creators that understand visual branding and viral posts the best, make the most astounding growth.

I think Apricitas Economics really embodies a clear visual branding unique value proposition. Joey is basically the “chart master” of Economics, as far as I’m concerned.

I find the charts of this publication just so attractive and important to economic trends!

So this publication’s visual are so strong they are their own headline!

• Create powerful visual branding

• Differentiate your brand’s identity (his logo is great too!)

• Create short snappy headlines and titles

• Viral hits can accelerate growth at key moments of a Newsletter’s history

• A/B tests topics/headlines on as LinkedIn posts. (use a tool like Shield App, a paid tool, if you want to grow LinkedIn seriously)

• Doing what you think is important vs. what your audience might think is important

I find Joey quite an advanced and fluid thinker of writer tactics and organic growth philosophy. He’s created a very differentiated brand identity on Substack and that may have helped him grow as fast as he has.

I’m attracted to these “younger” Creators that seem to have a strong background in their subject matter.
