Hey Guys,
So I’ve spoken a little bit about Pallet and how Talent Creatives give Newsletters yet another way to monetize and I think it’s really important if you are a Creator that enjoys building communities and helping people.
The idea here is some of your readers might be interested in finding a job along the lines of companies that relate to your niche vertical.
This video is a great introduction I think to Pallet.
So basically it’s a two sided marketplace where Creators can own their own network and build Job boards.
was among the first to try this way before he got that successful with Podcasts.Anyways before you knew it, tons of Substack Newsletters were suddenly offering jobs and if you didn’t know Pallet was behind it you’d be a bit confused how they were all doing it.
I think Talent Collectives offer value to our readers so it’s a Win-win, but don’t take my word for it, try it yourself if you take building your community or offering more value to your readers seriously.
This makes a lot of sense if you write in Technology or business like I do. It also makes sense for bigger Newsletters that have scaled from years of growing their communities, lists and across platforms.
Promote featured roles to your audience, connect your community with companies hiring for roles in your industry, and make money by giving your circle a reason to keep coming back for more.
Most importantly for Substack Newsletter Creators besides Sponsored Ads (where Paved is likely the best), here is yet another way to monetize your Newsletter and potentially grow another revenue stream.
This is what makes Substack paid subscriptions, Pallet and Sponsored Ads on platforms like Paved so good, they scale as you grow your Newsletter value and audience over time.
Monetization x3 is better than relying solely on your audience or solely on Ads, both of which feel somewhat spammy after a while. So I’m not sure I find Talent Collectives either of those things, though I still need to dig more into it. Talent Collectives (i.e. job boards integrated into our Creator communities) feels more organic and less “icky”.
So I do recommend watching the Youtube video I embedded at the top if you want to learn more about Pallet, and while they have only raised $5 million so far, bright things are ahead for them.
Thanks for reading!
