What is Semiconductor Things™?
Creator Economy Tips is no more, a Business-Tech Newsletter takes its place.
Hey Everyone,
It was time to say goodbye to the Newsletter that used to exist in this space. Writing about the decline of media and the creator economy while amusing, was a distraction from my coverage of emerging tech.
If you want to support this project:
As a Tech news analyst and with the rise of Nvidia NVDA 0.00%↑ and the A.I. chips bans to China, the industry has become more interesting.
The next Newsletter will be called Semiconductor Things and we will use X on this topic to cover related news.
This Newsletter was built to solve the pain point of getting the latest news on A.I. chips, semiconductors, datacenter innovation and chip news.
It is a bit of a passion project as I cover and learn more about emerging tech. I am interested in particular in:
The bleeding edge of A.I. chips
How venture capital hopes to solve the supply-demand issues around Generative AI GPUs and specialized hardware
The Venture projects of Sam Altman and Maysonashi Son
How Nvidia might scale
Semiconductor stocks and related stocks to the global supply chain
China’s pivot to self-sufficiency after U.S. bans on A.I. chips
This Newsletter was inspired by the analysts in Taiwan, Dan. Dan curates a lot of great semiconductor news over on X.
The frequency of this Newsletter may only be once a week or two, I am not sure. I’m primarily coming at this from a perspective of curation, business news, and global breaking news in the semiconductor space.
Since I already cover A.I. from a number of angles, I need to connect the dots with hardware to stay grounded. This Newsletter will also have a VC, semiconductor startup analysis and stock perspective and angle.
I will be giving refunds to paid subscribers of Creator Economy Tips. I enjoy talking about Newsletters, Substack growth and strategy but I need to have Newsletters aligned to my emerging tech passion at this stage.
There are already many great semiconductor Newsletters on Substack, but nobody who thinks like I do in terms of breaking news, startups, innovation, VC and the global supply chain. I will mix curation and commentary in moderation. This Newsletter was started at the same time as my new personal account on X.
The birthday of this Newsletter is February 25th, 2024 at 1:33 am Taipei time. If Semianalysis Newsletter is $500 a year for occasional deep dives, I’ll be charging 1/10th of the price or less without the high-brow Semi nerd speak.
I really just want to learn about what’s happening in the world in semiconductors, data centers, AI chips and everything related on an ongoing basis and I hope you do too.
