I've been toying with the idea of diving into YouTube shorts which seems to have some potential and wouldn't involve as much toxic "social" interaction.
I think YouTube shorts is a great way to experiment with video. Embeds pretty nice in a substack article, Surprise that more creators don't do it to be honest.
Substack creators have learned how important visual branding like charts and infographics are. They're a bit slow to learn how important video is. I think a big part of diversification isn't just the monetization layers and strategies but the formats as well.
